ORDER:

In the Government order third read above, among other things orders were issued for sanction of financial assistance for Rs.2,000/- (Rupees two thousand only) from Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund to the indigent public seeking financial assistance to undergo certain type of closed heart surgeries mentioned under Sl.No.3 and also certain type of other minor surgeries mentioned under Sl.No.5 in the recognised hospitals under the Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund Scheme and that too in exceptional cases purely on discretionary basis.

2. Taking into account of the considerable expenditure incurred on the above surgeries, the Government have decided to enhance the quantum of assistance sanctioned under Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund to the minor surgeries mentioned in paragraph 1 above. Accordingly the Government sanction that the quantum of financial assistance hither to sanctioned from Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund for certain type of closed heart surgeries mentioned under Sl.No.3 and also certain type of other minor surgeries mentioned under Sl.No.5 in Government Order (Miscellaneous) No.794, Health & Family Welfare Department, dated 29.5.1991 be enhanced from Rs.2,000/- (Rupees two thousand only) to Rs.5,000/-(Rupees five thousand only).

3. This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department (Vide its U.O.No.42403/CMPRF/97, dated 3.6.1997.
