---- ORDER In the letter first read above, Government of India allocated funds and fixed targets among others, for establishment of an Eye Donation Centres during 2002-2003 under National Programme for Control of Blindness. Towards the above Eye Donation Centres, Government of India shall provide Commodity assistance to the tune of Rs. 2.00 lakhs. 2. The Project Director, (in charge), Tamil Nadu State Blindness Control Society has forwarded and recommended the proposal of Director of Medical and Rural Health Services and Director of Medical Education and requested orders of Government. Accordingly Government direct that an Eye Donation Centres be established in the following Medical Institutions with commodity assistance from Government of India during 2002-2003 under National Programme for Control of Blindness. 3. The Project Director (in charge), Tamil Nadu State Blindness Control Society is requested to take necessary action to get commodity assistance from Government of India for establishment of Eye Donation Centres well before the closure of the financial year 2002-2003 under National Programme for Control of Blindness in consultation with Director of Medical and Rural Health Services and Director of Medical Education. 4. The Director of Medical and Rural Health Services and Director of Medical Education are requested to take necessary steps for establishment of the above Eye Donation Centres in the Medical Institutions under their control to achieve performance targets fixed under National Programme for Control of Blindness during 2002-2003.
