(D) No.338 E&F dt:03.12.2003 ==== Pursuant to the Government orders first cited the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests has now stated that in his proposal it was indicated that in order to consolidate the good works done in the water shed and in the Buffer Zone and the gains made so far, it is absolutely necessary that the TAP villages so far carried out under TAP are to be offered their due attention on maintenance for a few more years as the Buffer Zone activities are meant to support and enhance the efficiency of Joint Forest Management and that the said proposals are meant for Buffer Zone activities (infrastructure development) Community Development in the villages as well as creation of alternate employment as per the norms of Buffer zone activities. The Principal Chief Conservator of Forests has therefore requested to issue an amendment to the G.O. first cited duly indicating that the amount of Rs.10.00 Crores (Rs.5.00 Crores each for 2003-2004 and 2004-05) is sanctioned for Buffer Zone activities viz. infrastructure development/community development in the villages as well as creation of alternate employment etc., 2. This Government .after careful examination have decided to accept the proposal of Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and they accordingly issue the following amendment to the G.O.(D) No.338 Environment and Forests dated 3.l2.2003. Amendment In para 3 of G.O.(D)NO.338 E&F dated 3.l2.2003 for the expressions, " for maintenance works" the following expression shall be substituted:- "for Buffer zone activities viz. Infrastructure development/community development in the villages as well as creation of alternate employment" 3. This letter issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide its U.O.No.7336 / EAP / 04.1 dated 11.2.2004 Yours faithfully, for Secretary to Government.
