NOTIFICATION.

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 17 of the Tamil Nadu General Sales Tax Act, 1959 (Tamil Nadu Act 1 of 1959), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes an exemption in respect of the tax payable under the said Act, on the sale of 3 Nos. Water Purification System by Tvl. Shivsu Watek Private Limited,"Shivsu House", 14, Spurtank Road, Chetpet, Chennai-600 031 to Thiruvalargal Theosophical Order of Service, Adyar, Chennai, who donate the Water Purification Systems to Thirumalai Charity Trust, Chennai for the purpose of providing potable drinking water to people in the Tsunami affected villages in Nagapattinam district, subject to filing of a declaration jointly by Thiruvalargal Theosophical Order of Service, Adyar, Chennai and Thiruvalargal Thirumalai Charity Trust duly countersigned by the District Collector or the person authorised by the District Collector in the Form appended to this Notification.

2. The Notification shall be deemed to have come into force on and from the 7^th April, 2005.
