From the Inspector General of Registration Letter No.13511/L2/L1/2002, dated 30/4/2002 ****** ORDER In the Government Order first read above, the Guideline Cell functioning in the Office of the Inspector General of Registration was sanctioned. In the Government Order second read above, the Inspector General of Registration was designated as the appellate authority against the orders passed by the District Registrars, Assistant Inspectors General of Registration and Deputy Inspectors General of Registration in fixing the guideline value. 2. The Inspector General of Registration has now reported that it is necessary to fix a time limit for preferring appeal to the Inspector General of Registration against fixation of guideline value by the lower authorities. He has therefore proposed that a time limit of two months from the date of receipt of value fixation order may be prescribed. 3. The Government have carefully examined the proposal of Inspector General of Registration and have decided to accept it. Accordingly the Government direct that appeals against the orders passed by the District Registrars, Assistant Inspectors General of Registration and Deputy Inspectors General of Registration fixing the guideline value shall be preferred to the Inspector General of Registration within a period of two months from the date of receipt of the value fixation order. 4. The Inspector General of Registration is requested to give wide publicity about the prescription of time limit for appeals. (By Order of the Governor)
