Abstract Consumer Protection - Award on consumer protection for the year 2003-2004 – Orders – Issued Cooperation, Food and Consumer Protection (H2) Department G.O.(D).

No.147, Cooperation, Food and Consumer Protection Department, dated 21.3.2006 ******** ORDER In the Government Order first read above, the Government instituted state awards to be presented to those who have done outstanding work in the field of consumer protection. Under the above scheme, three awards shall be given in the form of price money of Rs.5,000, Rs.3,000 and Rs.2,000/- as first, second and third prizes respectively along with a certificate of merit. 2. In his letter second read above, the Commissioner of Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department sent nominations for the above award, collected from various districts along with his recommendations. The Committee constituted for the purpose of selecting the nominations, after careful consideration, has recommended the following persons for the state awards:-

The Government after careful consideration, accept the recommendation of the Committee and direct that the state awards for Consumer Protection for the year 2003-2004 shall be given to the three persons recommended by the Committee. The awardees shall be given a prize money of Rs.5,000/- (Rupees five thousand only), Rs.3,000/- (Rupees three thousand only), Rs.2,000/- (Rupees two thousand only) as first, second and third prizes respectively along with a certificate of merit. 4. The expenditure sanctioned in para 3 above shall be debited to “3456-00-Civil Suplies-800 Other Expenditure – Schemes in the Tenth Five Year Plan II – State Plan – JA. Assistance for Consumer Education and Protection - 09. Grants-in-aid-03 - Grants for specific schemes” (DPC 3456 00 800 JA 0938) 5. The Principal Commissioner & Commissioner of Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department is hereby authorized to draw and disburse the awards to the recipients along with the prize money. 6.
