No.161 Read:- G.O.(Ms).No. 160 Cooperation, Food and Consumer Protection Department Dated 10.6.2002 ORDER:- At present Friday is observed as weekly holiday for all fair price shops. The Government have reviewed the position and are of the opinion that it will be more convenient for all concerned if Sunday is declared as the weekly holiday for the fair price shops. 2. Accordingly, the Government direct that Sunday be observed as weekly holiday by all the fair price shops throughout the State, instead of Friday. 3. This order shall come into force from 1.6.2007 4. The Commissioner of Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection, the Registrar of Co-operative Societies and the Chairman and Managing Director Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation Limited are requested to issue suitable instructions to all concerned in this regard.
