Consumer Protection - Telephones State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission - Provision of additional Extension to the Chambers of the members of the State Commission - Expenditure - Sanctioned.

From the Registrar, State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission Letter No.A1 / 444 / 2003 Dated 21.8.2003

ORDER:-

The Registrar, State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission in his letter read above, has stated that the members of the State Commission have represented that due to non availability of  telephone facility in their Chambers, they find it difficult to make or to receive a telephone call since the telephone is in the Office Hall and therefore requested to provide one direct line telephone to their Chambers or  provide one extension telephone each.  The Registrar of the State Commission has further stated that the telephone provided by the Government to the State Commission in indicator No.24940687, with two extensions, one for the Hon'ble Presidents Chamber, and another for the Registrar's Chamber, under plan 103 is working with all inconvenience to each other.  He has  therefore stated that the telephone Department was addressed  for provision of extension facilities to the Chambers of each members of the State Commission and they have suggested for the provision of  EPABX for more than two lines.  The Registrar, State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission has therefore requested to accord permission for the purchase of BPL EPA BX machine  (model prodigy - 803-3X) from S.S. Marketing and Infoservices at a total cost of Rs.17000/- to the State Commission.

2. The Government after careful consideration accept the request of the Registrar, State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission and  sanction a sum of Rs.17000/- (Rupees seventeen thousands only) for the purchase of BPL EPABX machine (Model prodigy 803-3x) from S.S. Marketing and Infoservices, for the use of the State Commission, subject to the condition that the Expenditure to be incurred is within the budget provision available in Budget Estimate 2003-2004.

3. The expenditure sanctioned in para 2 above shall be debited to the following head of account.

"2070-00-other Administrative Services - 800 - Other Expenditure - I Non Plan - BJ State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission - Head Quarters Staff - 05 - Office Expenses - 01 Telephone Charges - 01 (DPC No 2070 - 00-800-BJ-0516)

4. This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide its U.O.No.1261 /C,F & CP / 2004 dated 9.1.2004
