ORDER
In the reference read above, the Government have sanctioned, among other things the supply of 3 litres of Kerosene free of cost to each of the families affected by the Tsunami waves that struck the Tamil Nadu coast on 26.12.2004. It has been represented to the Government that these families will require additional allotment of Kerosene to tide over the crisis. The Government hereby order that each affected family be supplied with an additional quantity of 10 litres of kerosene for the month of January 2005. This additional entitlement will be over and above the normal quota to which the family is eligible under the Public Distribution System and it shall be supplied on payment of cost.
2. The Commissioner of Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection shall make necessary arrangements to move the additional quantities of kerosene to the affected areas to meet this requirement.
