ABSTRACT

Civil Appeals 3774 to 3776 / 2003 filed in the Supreme Court of India, challenging the judgement of the Division Bench of High Court, Chennai – Appearance of Advocate General to defend the case Orders issued.

ORDER :

Thiru.R.Siva of Muthaialpet Primary Agricultural Cooperative Bank, Kancheepuram, Thirumathi.V.Kalaiselvi of Chatrapatti, Cooperative Stores Virudhunagar and Thiru.K.Jayachitran of Chatrapatti Cooperative Stores, Virudhunagar have filed Civil Appeals CA No.3774 to 3776/2003 in the Supreme Court challenging the judgement of the Division Bench of the High Court, Chennai in the batch of cases relating to the regularisation of the appointment of the employees in Cooperative Institutions.  The Supreme Court has directed that all the above three appeals be tagged with CA No.1413/2003 filed by oneTmt. Umarani.

2. The Registrar of Cooperative Societies has requested the Government to issue orders for the appearance of the Tamil Nadu Advocate General, Thiru. N.R.Chandran to defend the the Civil Appeal in the Supreme Court of India on behalf of the Government of Tamil Nadu and also direct Thiru.M.S.Palanisamy, the Additional Government Pleader to assist him in all these cases  since the Advocate General argued the batch of Writ Petition on the above subject appeared in the High Court and the Additional Government Pleader Thiru.M.S.Palanisamy, assited him in the High Court in all these cases.

3. The Government accept the recommentation of the Registrar of Cooperative Societies and request the Thiru.N.R.Chandran, Advocate General to appear in all the above Civil Appeals filed in the Supreme Court and defend the State Government.  The Government also direct Thiru.M.S.Palanisamy, Additional Government Pleader to render all assistance to the Advocate General  in  conducting these cases in the Supreme Court of India.
