Department dated 13.12. 2001 ****** ORDER: The Government have proposed to appoint Election Authority for the purpose of conducting election of Members of the Tamil Nadu Wakf Board as specified in rule 3 of the Tamil Nadu Wakf Board ( Conduct of Election for Members) Rules, 1997. The Officer is requested to attend the election duties in addition to normal official duties. 2. Orders on appointment of Returning Officer and two Assistant Returning Officers for the purpose of conducting the election of Members of Tamil Nadu Wakf Board will be issued separately. 3. The following Notification will be published in the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette Extra ordinary, dated 30 .11.2006 . NOTIFICATION In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of sub- rule (1) of rule 3 of the Tamil Nadu Wakf Board (Conduct of Election for Members) Rules, 1997, the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby appoints Thiru P. Selvam, I.A.S., Secretary to Government, Backward Classes, Most Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare Department, Chennai-9 as Election Authority for the purpose of conducting election of Members of the Tamil Nadu Wakf Board as specified in the said Rules.
