From the Government of India, Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Ministry of Agriculture, letter No.2-2/03NPRELH) dt.7.4.2003 and 10.7.2003. 4. From the Director of Veteriary Services, letter No.17851///JJ2/02, dated. 21.7.2003. ------ The Government Of India, in their letter first read above, sanctioned a sum of Rs.68.00 Lakhs to this State, for the implementation of National Project on Rinderpest Eradication, during the year 2002-2003. 2. Accordingly, sanction was accorded, in the Government order second read above, for the 100% Central assistance of Rs.68.00 lakhs, to Director of Veterinary Services, for the implementation of the said NPRE Scheme. 3. The Director of Veterinary Services has now reported that out of the sanctioned amount of Rs.68.00 lakhs, an expenditure of Rs.53.25 lakhs only has been incurred during the year 2002-2003 and it was not possible to incur the balance amount of Rs.14.75 lakhs during the last year 2002-2003. 4. The Government of India in the reference third read above has revalidated the funds released for the scheme during 2002-2003 for utilisation during 2003-2004. 5. Accordingly the Director of Veterinary Services has requested to accord administrative sanction for utilisation of Rs.14.75 lakhs for implementation of NPRE in the year 2003-2004.
