1.      From the Director of Veterinary Services Letter No.- dated 4.3.2003.

ORDER:-

In the letter read above the Director of Veterinary Services has sent proposals for upgrading the Veterinary sub-centre at Alwarthirunagari, Tuticorin district into a Veterinary dispensary stressing the need to start the Veterinary Dispensary over the area of Alwarthirunagari stating that the cattle population is more than 10,000 in and around the village and in view of the fact that the nearest Dispensary is situated for more than 8 KM. from the existing centre.

2. The above proposal of the Director of Veterinary Services has been examined by the Government and decided to upgrade the Veterinary sub-centre at Alwarthirunagari, Tuticorin District into a Veterinary Dispensary.  Government therefore accord sanction for upgrading the sub-centre at Alwarthirunagari, Tuticorin District into a Veterinary Dispensary.  The Director of Veterinary Services is requested to fill up the post of one Veterinary Assistant Surgeon by redeployment.  The other posts required for Veterinary Dispensary viz. 1 post of Livestock Inspector and Animal Husbandry Assistants will be provided by redeployment.  Government also sanction a sum of Rs.1,27,200/- (Rupees one lakh twenty seven thousand and two hundred only) for incurring both the recurring and non-recurring expenditure as detailed below:

4. The expenditure sanctioned in Para 3 above shall be debited to the following head of account:-

"2403 00 - Animal Husbandry - 101. Veterinary Services and Animal Health - Schemes in the Tenth Five Year Plan - II State Plan - Junior Assistant Veterinary Dispensaries" (DPC No.2403 00 101 Junior Assistant 0006)"

5. This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide its U.O.No.1516 / FS / P / 03 / AH & F / 2003, dated 19.5.2003.
