In the Government Order first read above, the Government have sanctioned Rs.80.00 lakhs (Rupees Eighty lakhs only) (Central share Rs.20.00 lakhs, being unspent balance for 2001-2002 and revalidated for 2002-2003.  State share Rs.20.00 lakhs.  Beneficiaries share Rs.40.00 lakhs) for the implementation of the Centrally Sponsored Scheme of Foot and Mouth Disease Control Programme and for meeting the expenditure in 2002-2003.

2.  The Director of Veterinary Services in his letter third read above has requested the Government to give administrative approval for the year 2002-2003 based on Government of India release for the above scheme for Rs.348 lakhs (Rupees Three hundred and forty eight lakhs only) (Rs.87.00 lakhs by Government of India, Rs.87.00 lakhs by Government of Tamil Nadu and Rs.174.00 lakhs by beneficiaries) and for permission to place the requirement to the Tamil Nadu Medical Services Corporation. 

3.  After careful examination accord administrative approval for continuing the Centrally Sponsored Foot and Mouth Disease Control Programme in the ratio 25:25:50 during 2002-2003 with a total outlay of Rs.268.00 lakhs (Rupees Two hundred and Sixty Eight Lakhs only) (State share Rs.67.00 lakhs, Government of India share Rs.67.00 lakhs, beneficiary share Rs.134.00 lakhs), as the Government have already sanctioned Rs.80.00 lakhs (Rupees Eighty Lakhs only) for the above scheme for the year 2002-2003 in G.O. second read above.

4.  The Director of Veterinary Services is requested to ensure the collection of beneficiary share in full and in time for the amount sanctioned in the G.O. first read above, so as to consider further release of funds under the scheme.

5.  This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide its U.O.No.21539/Fin(AH&F)/2003, dated.28.3.2003.
