Abstract

ORDER;
In the Government order first read above, orders were issued sanctioning a sum of Rs. 31,14,062/- towards the 50% State Government's share of Insurance premium at the rate of Rs. 14/= (Rupees Fourteen only) per fishermen for 4,44,866 registered active marine and inland fishermen/fisherwomen for renewal of the Group Accident Insurance Policy for the period from 10-12-2004 to 9-12-2005 payable to the FISHCOPFED, New Delhi under the Group Accident Insurance Scheme, a component of the ongoing Centrally Sponsored National Scheme for Welfare of Fishermen. The 50% Government of India's share was released by the Government of India directly to the FISCOPFED, New Delhi.
2) In the letter second read above, the Government of India have conveyed their administrative approval for continuance of the scheme during the year 2005-06.
3. In the letter third read above, the Director of Fisheries has sent proposals for implementation of this scheme for 5,71,233 members enrolled in both Marine and Inland Fishermen / Fisherwomen Co-operative Societies as on 31-3-2005 and sought for sanction of a sum of Rs. 39,98,631/- (Rupees Thirty nine lakhs ninety eight thousand six hundred and thirty one only) towards the 50% of premium amount payable by the State Government to FISHCOPFED, New Delhi for coverage of insurance for the period from 10-12-2005 to 9-12-2006 as follows:-

4) The Government after careful examination decided to accept the proposal of the Director of Fisheries and sanction a sum of Rs. 39,98,631/= (Rupees Thirty nine lakhs ninety eight thousand six hundred and thirty one only) towards the 50% State Government's share of Insurance premium at the rate of Rs.14/=(Rupees fourteen only) per fisherman / fisherwoman for 5,71,233 active registered marine and inland fishermen / fisherwomen for the Insurance period from 10-12-2005 to 9-12-2006 under the Group Accident Insurance Scheme for active fishermen, a component of the ongoing Centrally Sponsored National Scheme of Welfare of fishermen.
5) The Director of Fisheries shall obtain the approval of Government of India for implementation of this scheme in respect of fisherwomen for the year 2005-06.
6) The amount sanctioned in para 4 above shall be debited to the following head of account:-
"2405.00 Fisheries 800. Other expenditure - Schemes in the Tenth Five Year Plan -II State Plan - JZ. Tamil Nadu Fishermen Group Insurance - 11. Subsidies - 01. Individual Based subsidy .(DPC. 2405-00-800-JZ-1118)".
7. A sum of Rs.30.00 lakhs is provided in BE 2005-06. Additional sum of Rs.9,98,631/- shall be provided in RE / FMA 2005-06. Pending provision of funds, the Director of Fisheries, Chennai is authorised to incur the expenditure. The Director of Fisheries is also requested to send necessary proposals for RE / Final Modified Appropriation 2005-06 to Government in Finance (AH&F) Department for provision of additional funds under the above head of account without fail.
8. This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide its U.O.No.86127/ AH&F / 2005, Dated. 5.12.2005 and additional sanction ledger No. 1158.
