In the Government Order first cited, orders were issued sanctioning a sum of Rs.400 .00 lakhs being the State and the Central Governments' equal share of Rs. 200 .00 lakhs each, towards the second and final installment for construction of 2000 houses, 100 tube wells, and 5 community halls under the ongoing Development of Model Fishermen Villages Scheme, one of the components of the Centrally Sponsored National Scheme of Welfare of Fishermen during the year 2004- 2005.

2. In the letter second cited the Director of Fisheries has requested to issue an amendment to authorize the Director of Fisheries to draw and disburse the amount to the Director of Rural Development, Chennai-15.

3. In the Circumstances reported by the Director of Fisheries the Government accept the request of the Director of Fisheries and the following amendment is issued to the G.O.(MS)No.203, Animal Husbandry, Dairying & Fisheries Department, dated 25.11.2005:-

Amendment

In the said Government Order after paragraph 5, the following paragraph shall be added:-

"6. The Director of Fisheries is authorised to draw and disburse the amount sanctioned in para 5 above to the Director of Rural Development, Chennai-15."

2. The existing paragraphs 6 and 7 in the said Government Order shall be renumbered as paragraphs '7' and '8' respectively.

4. This letter issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide its U.O.No. 30/DS(BK)/2006, Dated 1.3.2006.
