ORDER:

In the G.O first read above, a sum of Rs.438.75 lakhs comprising the State and Central Governments equal share of Rs.219.375 lakhs each was released as first instalment for construction of 2000 houses, 100 tube wells and 5 Community halls under the Development of Model Fishermen Village Scheme one of the components of the ongoing Centrally Sponsored National Scheme of Welfare of Fishermen for the year 2004-05. The cost of

construction of the components as approved by Government of India are as follows:-

 

2000 houses at Rs.40,000/- per house

Rs.8,00,00,000.00

100 tube wells at Rs.30,000/- per tube well

Rs.30,00,000.00

5 Community halls at Rs.175 lakh per community hall

Rs.8,75,000.00

Total

Rs.8,38,75,000.00

50% State Government's Share

2. In the Government letter second read above, amendment to the above G.O was issued for execution of the construction of the 2000 houses , 100 tube wells and 5 Community halls thro' the Panchayat Unions under the direct supervision of the District Collectors. It was also ordered to complete the construction work within 6 months from the date of receipt of funds.

3. In the Government letter third read above, the Government of India have been requested to release the balance central share of Rs.200.00 lakhs to this State. In the reference read above, the Government of India have released the second and final instalment of Rs.200.00 lakhs (Rupees two hundred lakhs only) towards Central Share involving total central share of Rs.419.375 lakhs for the year 2004-05.

4. The Director of Fisheries in the reference fifth read above have requested to release the central share together with the State's equal share of Rs.200.00 lakhs, under this scheme.

5. The Government after careful examination, sanction a sum of Rs.400.00 lakhs (Rupees four hundred lakhs only) comprising the State and central Government equal share of Rs.200.00 lakhs each, towards the second and final instalment for construction of 2000 houses 100 tube wells and 5 community halls under the Centrally Sponsored Development of Model Fishermen Village Scheme during the year 2005-06.

6. The expenditure sanctioned in para 5 above shall be debited to the following head of account:-

"2216- Housing - 80 General 800 Other expenditure - Schemes in the Tenth Five Year Plan - VI Schemes shared between State and Centre -UA . Construction of houses for fishermen -09, Grants-in-aid-03. Grants for specific schemes (DPC 2216-80-800-UA 0933)".

The Director of Fisheries is requested to follow the Government of India's guidelines strictly while constructing the above components. He is requested to send the periodical physical and financial progress report on the construction of the components together with Utilisation Certificate to Government of India under intimation to this Government. He is also requested to send completion certificate to Government early.

7. This Order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide its U.O No. 81492/AH&F/2005-1 Dated 18.11.2005.
