ORDERS:

In their letter first read above, the Government  of Indian have conveyed their administrative approval for continuance of Fish Farmers Development Agencies under Centrally Sponsored Scheme during 2002-03 and the sanction of the president to the payment of Rs. 25.42 lakhs as 75% Government of India’s share of grant under the ongoing is Scheme.

2) In the letter second read above the Director of Fisheries has requested the Government to sanction a sum of Rs.33.90 lakhs towards establishment of State Level Laboratory and purchase of some testing kits under Development of Freshwater Aquaculture Scheme.

3) The Government have examined the proposal of Director of Fisheries in detail and sanction a sum of Rs. 33.90 lakhs (Rupees Thirty three lakhs and Ninety thousand only) being the Central and State share amount towards establishment of State Level Laboratory at Chetpet, Chennai and to purchase some soil and water testing kits under Development Freshwater Aquaculture scheme to be  implemented through Fish Farmers Development Agency.

4) The expenditure sanctioned in para 3 above shall be debited to the following head of account:-

“2405.00 Fisheries – 101.Inland Fisheries – Schemes in the Tenth Five Year Plan – VI Schemes shared between State and Centre – UA . Establishment of Fish Farmers Development Agencies –09 – Grants-inAid01-Grants for current Expenditure 9DPC 2405.00.101.UA.0914)”

5) Additional funds will be provided in Revised Estimate/Final Modified Appropriation 2003-2004 the Director of Fisheries is requested to send necessary proposals for including of additional provision in the Revised Estimate/Final Modified Appropriation 2003-2004 without fail

6) This orders issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide U.O.No.67415/A.H.&.F./2003, dated 15.12.2003 and Additional sanction Ledger No.860.
