From the Accountant General, Chennai 18 DC.11A/IV/2003-2004 dated.20.11.2003. ------- The Government of India, in their letter first and second read above, has sanctioned under 100% assistance, a sum of Rs.12.00 lakhs to this State to implement Foot and Mouth Disease Control Programme during the year 2003-2004. 2. The Director of Veterinary Services in his letter third read above has requested the Government to accord administrative sanction for a sum of Rs.12.00 lakhs, to implement the Foot and Mouth Disease Control Programme in Kanyakumari District, utilising the services of Link Worker Couples. 3. After careful examination, sanction is accorded to incur an expenditure of Rs.12.00 lakhs (Rupees twelve lakhs only) by the Director of Veterinary Services, Chennai, to implement the Foot & Mouth Disease Control Programme in Kanyakumari District, utilising the services of Link Worker Couples. 4. The amount sanctioned in para 3 above shall be debited to the following head of account:- 2403 – 00 – Animal Husbandry – 101 – Veterinary Services and Animal Health – Schemes in the Xth Five Year Plan – III – Centrally sponsored – SF – Foot & Mouth Control Programme.
5. Necessary funds will be provided in the Final Modified Appropriation 2003-2004. The Director of Veterinary Services is requested to include this amount, while sending Final Modified Appropriation proposals for 2003-2004 to Government in Finance Department without fail. 6. Pending provision of funds, the Director of Veterinary Services, Chennai is permitted to incur the above expenditure, by following rules and regulations in force. 7.
