FISHERIES – Provision of Deep Water Borewell in the O/O the Commissioner and Director of Fisheries, Chennai-6, under Part II Schemes 2001-2002 – Orders – Issued.

ORDER:- 

            In the reference first read above, the Commissioner & Director of Fisheries has stated that there are 250 officials working in the O/O the Commissioner & Director of Fisheries, Chennai-6 and in addition nearly one hundred fishermen from all over the State visit that Office daily.  The availability of water is not sufficient to meet the needs of the people.   Hence the Commissioner & Director of Fisheries has requested to provide a deep bore-well with suitable electric motor and accessories at a cost of Rsl.1.50 lakhs to improve the availability of water to cater to the needs of staff and public towards drinking water / public convenience.  He has also added that the work will be entrusted to the Public Works Department wing in DMS compound to be completed within 15 days. 

2.         The Government after careful examination have decided to accept the proposal of the Commissioner & Director of Fisheries.  Accordingly they sanction a sum of Rs.1.50  lakhs for the provision of deep bore-well with suitable electric motor and accessories to improve the availability  of water for the use of Commissioner & Director of Fisheries Office staff under Part II Scheme for the year 2001-2002. 

3.         The expenditure shall be debited to 

“2405.00.Fisheries – 001. Direction and Administration – I. Non-Plan – AA. Headquarter Establishment – 17. Minor Works. (DPC No. 2405.00.001.AA.1700)”    

4.            This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide its U.O.No.66987/AH&F/2001, dated 20.9.2001.
