In the letter first read above, the Government of India have released a sum of Rs.10.00 Lakhs to implement the National Project on Rinderpest Eradication Scheme for the year 2003-2004.

2.  The Director of Veterinary Services in his letter second read above has requested the Government to sanction administrative approval for implementation of the above scheme for Rs.10.00 Lakhs during 2003-2004 and also sought orders to utilise the expenditure as detailed below:-

3.  The Government after careful examination, accord sanction for the 100% Central assistance of Rs.10.00 Lakhs (Rupees Ten Lakhs Only) to the Director of Veterinary Services  for the implementation of the National Project on Rinderpest Eradication in Tamilnadu during 2003-2004 as mentioned in para 2 above.

4.  The Expenditure sanctioned in para 3 above shall debited to the following Head of Account:-

            2403 – 00 – Animal Husbandry – 101 – Veterinary Services and Animal Health –

            Schemes in the Xth Five Year Plan – III – Centrally sponsored – SA –

            Establishment  of Rinderpest squad under Rinderpest Eradication Programme.

5.  Necessary funds will be provided in the RE/FMA 2003-2004.  The Director of Veterinary Services is requested to include the amount, while sending the budget proposals for RE/FMA 2003-2004 to Government in Finance Department without fail.
