ORDER:- 

The Government of India had approved the implementation of the component namely, "Development of Model Fishermen Villages" under the National Scheme of Welfare of Fishermen during the year 1997-98.  Under this component the Government  of India have approved construction of 300 houses, 15 tube wells and 4 community halls at a total cost of Rs.113.75 lakhs, in the following 4 villages:-

50% Government of India's share is Rs.56.875 lakhs and the 50% State Government's share is Rs.56.875 lakhs.  The Government of India have released a sum of Rs.40.00 lakhs towards first instalment. 

 2. In the Government order first read above the Government have released both Central and  State's share of Rs.80.00 lakhs under this scheme. 

3. In the letters second read above, the Director of Fisheries has reported that out of 300 houses, construction of 285 houses have been completed and the remaining 15 houses will be completed with the regular  State budget provision.  The Director of Fisheries has therefore requested the Government to sanction a sum of Rs.8.75 lakhs for construction of 15 tube wells and 4 community halls under this scheme.

             4. In the circumstances reported by the Director of Fisheries, the Government after careful examination sanction a sum of Rs.8.75 lakhs (Rupees eight lakhs and seventy five thousand only) both Central and State's share, for construction of 15 tube wells (unit cost Rs.25,000/-) and 4 community halls (unit cost Rs.1,25,000/-) in the following four villages under the Centrally Sponsored National Scheme of Welfare of  Fishermen component of "Development of Model Fishermen Villages" approved during the year 1997-1998:-

5. The amount sanctioned in para-4 above shall be debited to the following head of account namely:- 

            "2216. Housing-80.General-800.Other expenditure -Schemes in the
            X Five Year Plan -VI-Schemes shared between State and Centre -UA.
            Construction of houses for fishermen-09.Grants-in-aid-03.Grants in
            specific schemes (DPC. 2216-80-800-UA-0933)". 

6. The Director of Fisheries may be requested  to send quarterly reports on the achievements against physical and financial targets of the construction to Government/Government of India.  She may also be requested to send utilization certificate in the prescribed format.

7. This order issues with the concurrence of Finance  Department vide U.O.No.23/JS(TB)/2002 dated.13.11.2002.
