ORDER:

In the letter sixth read above, the Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Co-operative Milk Producers Federation Limited has requested the Government to grant 5% basic pay as Personal Pay with effect from 1.9.98 to the 234 technical staff as given in the Annex to this order.

2. The Government have examined the proposal of the Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Co-operative Milk Producers Federation Limited in the light of the orders/clarification issued in the Government Orders and letters read above. In the Government letter second read above, the Government have clarified that the Personal Pay ordered in the G.O. first read above is applicable to all categories of employees in the scales of pay mentioned in para-4(1) to (4)(iv) of the G.O. first read above irrespective of the fact whether they are Ministerial or other categories. In the G.O. fourth read above, the Government decided to grant Personal Pay at the rate of 5% of the basic pay as on 1.9.98 as an alternative benefit to all categories of employees who have been granted with 5% Personal Pay prior to 1.1.1996 in the pre-revised scale of pay as ordered and modified in the G.O. first and third read above. In the Government letter fifth read above, the Government clarified that all those employees on 1.9.1998 belonging to the categories which were allowed Personal Pay as per the G.O. first read above are eligible for the 5% Personal Pay irrespective of whether such individual employees earlier availed the Personal Pay benefit or not.

3. The Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Co-operative Milk Producers Federation Limited in his letter sixth read above has stated that all the 234 employees as given in the Annex to this order had earlier availed 5% basic pay as Personal Pay with effect from 1.8.92 upto 31.12.1995 (i.e prior to 1.1.1996). In consideration of the orders/clarification issued in the Government Orders and letters read above and the reasons adduced by the Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Co-operative Milk Producers Federation Limited in support of his proposal, the Government have decided to accept his proposal. Accordingly, they sanction 5% basic pay as Personal Pay with effect from 1.9.98 to 234 technical employees of the Tamil Nadu Co-operative Milk Producers Federation Limited as given in the Annex to this order.

4. The expenditure sanctioned in para-3 above shall be met from funds of Tamil Nadu Co-operative Milk Producers Federation Limited.

5. This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department - vide its U.O.No.90649/BPE/2001, dt.3.1.2002.
