ORDER:

In the Government order first read above, sanction was accorded for continuance of the scheme for the production and distribution of Nuclear Poly hydrosis Virus for the control of Prodenia pests in cotton crops during 2006-07 with the physical target of 1500 Ha. at an out lay of Rs.79,000/-. 

2.  The Commissioner of Agriculture in his letter second read above has submitted proposals for continuance of the above said scheme during 2007-08 with a physical target of 2000 Ha. at Villupuram, Gobichettipalayam and Melur at a project cost of Rs.86,000/-.

3.  The Government after careful consideration accord sanction for the continuance of the scheme for the production and distribution of Nuclear Poly hydrosis Virus for the control of Prodenia pests in cotton crops during 2007-08 with the physical target of 2000 Ha.  The Government also sanction a sum of Rs.86,000 (Rupees. Eighty six thousand only) towards the cost of production as detailed below: -

4.  The Government also direct that a nominal amount of Rs.43/- per Ha. be collected from the farmers for the supply of Nuclear Poly hydrosis Virus so as to recover the cost of production of the virus in full.

5. Necessary funds has been provided in the RE/FMA 2007-08.  Pending Provision of such funds the Director of Agriculture is authorized to draw and disburse the amount sanctioned in para 3 above.  The Director of Agriculture is also directed to include the item of expenditure while sending the RE/FMA 2007-08 proposals to Government of Finance (Agri) department without fail.

6. The expenditure sanctioned above shall be debited to

“ 2401-00-CH-107-Plant Protection-I Non-Plan-AH.Production of Nuclear Poly hydrosis Virus for the control of prodenia in Cotton Crops “ 02 - Wages (DPC No.2401-00-107-AH 0207) Rs.58,000 - 69 Procurement of Agricultural Inputs (2401-00-107-AH 6907) Rs.28,000.

7.   The receipt under the scheme shall be credited to "0401-00-Crop Husbandry 108-Receipts from Commercial Crops-AG-Cotton Development". (DPC 0401-00-108-AG-0005).

8. The Government also ratify the action of the Director of Agriculture in having continued the scheme beyond 31.3.2007 in anticipation of the Government orders.

9.  This order issues with the concurrence of the Finance Department vide its U.O.No.35691 / Agri / 07, dated 2.7.2007. The ASL No.396 (Three hundred and ninety six).
