ORDER;-

In the letter read above, the Commissioner of Agriculture has stated that there are 74 Seed Processing Units available, of which 16 are major units annually around 20,000 MTS of Seed are Processed through these Units. Due to normal wear and tear, the machineries and parts have to be necessarily replaced with new spare parts to maximize the efficiency. He has therefore requested to Government to sanction a sum of Rs.10.00 lakhs(Rupees Ten lakhs only) for the replacing the worn out parts like rubber roller. conveyer belts, wiring, maintenance as proposed in the part-II scheme for 2007-08.

2. Government after careful consideration accord sanction for purchase of spare parts for the Seed Processing Units at a total cost of Rs.10.00 lakhs (Rupees Ten lakhs only). Under part-II scheme for the year 2007-08.

3. The Commissioner of Agriculture is directed to follow the existing codel and Tender procedure strictly while purchasing the materials.

4. The expenditure sanctioned at a para 2 above shall be debited to "2401-00-Crop Husbandry – 103-Seeds-Schemes in the Eleventh Five year Plan-II State Plan-JB-Procurement and distribution of Paddy and Millet Seeds 10 Machinery and Equipments – 03 maintenance ( 2401-00-103-JB 1930)

5. The Commissioner of Agriculture is authorised to draw and disbursed the amount sanctioned in para 2 above as per the norms in force and to send Utilisation Certificate in the prescribed format to Government.

6. This order issues with the concurrence of the Finance Department vide its U.O.No.26260/Agri 2007, dated 30-4-2007.
