Agricultural Engineering – Purchase of 50 Disc Ploughs for Deep Ploughing at a
cost of Rs. 9.05 Lakhs – Orders – Issued.

ORDER:
The Honourable Minister for Agriculture while moving the agricultural Demand announced on the floor of the Legislative
Assembly that 50 Nos. of Disc Plough at a cost of Rs.15 lakhs would be purchased for the purpose of Deep Ploughing.
2. Based on the above announcement, the CE (AE) in his proposal has stated that the forming community prefers deep
ploughing in the virgin land for which Disc Plough is necessary. Further for implementing Wasteland Development Project,
the disc plough is very essential for Deep Ploughing. Therefore, he has proposed for the purchase of 50 Numbers of ‘Disc
Plough’ at a total cost of Rs. 9.05 Lakhs during the current year (2000 – 2001). He has requested the Government order in this regard.
3. The Government after careful consideration of the Chief Engineer(AE)’s proposal, during the current year (2000-2001), permission
has been accorded for the purchase of 50 numbers of ‘ Disc Plough’ and also sanctioned and amount of Rs. 9.05 lakhs (Rupees Nine
Lakhs and Five Thousand only) for the same.
4. The expenditure sanctioned in para 3 above is debited to the following head of account:-
" 2401-00-Crop Husbandry –113 Agricultural Engineering – Ninth five Year Plan – II State Plan – JA – Tractor Hiring
Scheme – 19 Machinery and equipment – 01 – Purchase.
5. No funds are provided for this expenditure for the current year Budget Estimate. The CE(AE) has been permitted to incur the
expenditure in anticipation of allocation of funds in RE / FMA 2000-2001. The Chief Engineer (AE) may be requested to send necessary
proposal for the provision of fund to Government in Finance Department within the prescribed period.
This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide its U.O.No.62519 / Agriculture / 2000-1 dated: 9.8.2000.
