ORDER:

A policy decision has been taken by the Government to start cable TV operations by the State as a Multi System Operator (MSO) in Chennai Metropolitan area and as Cable Operator in the other areas of the State.

2. With a view to give effect to the above decision of the Government, it has been decided to incorporate a new company called "ARASU CABLE TV CORPORATION LIMITED".

3.The proposed Corporation will have its headquarters at Chennai with jurisdiction throughout the State.

4. The affairs of the proposed Corporation shall be managed by the Board of Directors constituted as follows:

1) Chairman and Managing Director -

2) Member - Secretary to Government, Finance Department

3) Member - Secretary to Government, Information Technology Department

4) Member - Managing Director, Electronics Corporation of Tamil Nadu Limited (ELCOT)

5) Member - Chairman, Tamil Nadu Electricity Board

5. Orders posting the Chairman and Managing Director will be issued separately by Public (Special-A) Department.

6. The Chairman and Managing Director shall send proposals for staff pattern, location of office building and funds required for the formation of the "ARASU CABLE TV CORPORATION LIMITED".

7. The Chairman and Managing Director is directed to submit a draft Memorandum and Articles of Association for the proposed "ARASU CABLE TV CORPORATION LIMITED" for approval of the Government.

8. This order issues with the concurrence of the Finance Department vide its U.O. No. 2603/FS/P/07 dated 13.08.2007.
