ORDER:

The Government of India have planned a national level initiative  –  National e-Governance Plan, [NeGP] to introduce e-Governance for increased transparency, efficiency and effectiveness for delivery of citizen services.  In this connection, certain departments have been chosen as Mission Mode Departments. Tvl. WIPRO Infotech, Chennai, has been appointed as consultant for preparing Draft Project Reports in respect of the above said Mission Mode Departments.  The consultants were also entrusted with the work of preparation of the following deliverables:

i)   Project Inception Report

ii)  Initial Assessment Report

iii) Capacity Building

iv) E Governance Vision 2010 and 2020

v)  E-Governance Strategy

vi) E-Governance Blueprint

vii) Directorate Business Plan

viii) Detailed work plan

ix)  Architecture

x)  Standards

xi)  Best Practices

A draft document has been prepared on the Architecture and Standards to be adopted for e-Governance in Tamil Nadu by Tvl. WIPRO for approval of the Government. In the Secretaries meeting held on 16.10.2006 it was observed that  a Committee consisting of Government officials and technical personnel from Private Sector may be formed so that the Draft document could be discussed in detail and vetted thoroughly before it can be adopted.

2. Accordingly, the Government constitute a committee consisting of the following to formulate  the Architecture and Standards for e-Governance in Tamil Nadu:
