ORDER:
In the Government Orders first and second read above, a State Level Task Force for Information Technology industry and a Sub-Committee of the Information Technology Task Force were constituted by the Government. Again, in the G.O. third read above, Dr.M.Anandakrishnan, Vice Chairman, Tamil Nadu State Council for Higher Education (TNSCHE) was appointed as Vice Chairman of State IT Task Force in the place of Thiru Murasoli Maran, M.P., and in the Government Order fourth read above the Secretary to Government, Information Technology Department was appointed as Member Convenor of the State IT Task Force in the place of Secretary to Government, Industries Department.
2. In his letters fifth read above, the Vice-Chairman, TNSCHE and Adviser to the Hon`ble Chief Minister on Information Technology and e-governance has indicated the need to expand the membership of the State IT Task Force to obtain broader range of consultations as the tempo of development of Information Technology Industry in Tamil Nadu is expanding rapidly and the number of issues to be dealt with is also getting enlarged. He has also indicated that the task of the Sub-Committee has expanded beyond Tamil computing and therefore it will be useful to have it reconstituted. Accordingly, the Adviser to Hon`ble Chief Minister on Information Technology and e-governance has suggested the names of persons who may be included as members in the State IT Task Force and the revised composition of members for the Sub-Committee.
3. The Government accept the suggestions of the Adviser to Chief Minister on Information Technology and e-governance and pass the following orders:-
