Allotment Procedure:

Sheds and Developed Plots are allotted to entrepreneurs under different schemes as follows to suit the needs of the entrepreneurs depending on the location of the industrial estates

(i) Outright purchase,

(ii) Hire purchase and

(iii) Lease / Rental basis in no demand areas only

3. Supply of Raw Materials to SSI / Tiny units:

The main objective of this Scheme is to supply Raw Materials to SSI / Tiny Units through the wide network of Depots all over the State with assured quality at competitive price. The basic raw materials such as Iron & Steel, Paraffin Wax, Match Wax, Copier & Printing papers, Potassium Chlorate are being distributed by TANSIDCO.

Ø The Iron and Steel is procured from the main producers like SAIL, RINL, IISCO, TISCO

Ø The Paraffin Wax and Match Wax are procured from CPCL

Ø Quality of materials are assured because of the procurement from main producers,

Ø The quality paper products procured from TNPL are being distributed by TANSIDCO to Universities, Education Institutions and Government Departments.

Ø TANSIDCO has developed a wide network of 4 main Raw Material Depots and 2 Raw material Sub Depots and 6 Depots attached with Branch Offices for the supply of Iron and Steel, Wax etc., to SSI units located all over the State. SIDCO has also opened 6 Sales Points in its Branch Offices for the supply of TNPL Paper.

Ø The SSI units can procure raw materials at fair prices as and when required in small quantities from TANSIDCO without locking up their funds.

Ø SIDCO is also supplying Iron and Steel to the requirements of Government Departments viz., TANSI, Transport Corporations, Tamilnadu Khadi & Village Industries Board, Sugar Mills, etc.

Ø Under this Scheme, any SSI /Tiny unit as well as Government Departments / Undertakings who desire to procure above said Raw Materials, may get their requirements from the nearest Raw Material Depots. The Raw Materials are also being supplied on credit basis against Bank Guarantee furnished by the SSI customers.

4. Marketing Assistance

TANSIDCO started Marketing Assistance Scheme during 1978 for assisting Small Scale Units to market their quality products to Government Departments / Government Undertakings at reasonable price. To familiarise the buyers with the products manufactured by SSI units, Buyer – Seller meets are being organised. TANSIDCO also participates in Trade Fairs and displays the products of SSI units.

The SSI Units having permanent SSI certificate can register with the concerned Branch Office of TANSIDCO for their products under Marketing Assistance Scheme by paying Rs.200/- as registration fee.

The form for registration under this scheme can be downloaded from SIDCO website. It can also be obtained from TANSIDCO Corporate and Branch Offices.

Under this Scheme, TANSIDCO obtains Tender documents from the Government Departments / Undertakings which float tenders for purchase of their various requirements. TANSIDCO obtains rates from the SSI Units registered under MAS for the specified products and quotes the rates on behalf of SSIs. If orders are received, the same are distributed to the registered SSI units according to their capacities.

5. Export Assistance Scheme

Ø The main objective of the scheme is to provide assistance to SSI units in Tamil Nadu to identify export opportunities by creating a web presence for each member unit.

Ø TANSIDCO has launched the web site viz., www.sidcoexports.com  to the registered units for displaying their products, company profile, etc. on this web site so that potential buyers can have contact with the concerned units and establish business.

Ø The web site for each member unit will run into 10 pages where the information about the unit’s product description, specification, price, capacity of plant, terms and conditions, etc. will be displayed with photographs / drawings about the products in such a way to attract foreign buyers.

Ø TANSIDCO also searches various trade web sites, finds potential foreign buyers for the registered units’ products and informs the same to the concerned unit to have further contacts for business.

Ø Units are registered under this scheme by collection of a one time registration fee of Rs.2,000/- The necessary application for registering under this scheme can be down loaded from SIDCO’s web site. Medium and Large Industrial units, Merchant Exporters and Trading Organisations are also eligible to join this scheme.

6. NSIC-TANSIDCO CONSORTIUM SCHEME

Ø The new scheme of granting Composite Term Loan (CTL) for the benefit of Tiny Industries is implemented jointly by National Small Industries Corporation Ltd.[NSIC] and TANSIDCO under Single Window concept.

Ø The Composite Term Loan shall be granted for acquisition of Land & Building, Machinery & Equipment and Working Capital to Tiny Units with total assistance upto Rs.25.00 lakhs.

Ø NSIC & TANSIDCO will appraise the Project Proposal of the applicant jointly before sanction of the Composite Term Loan.

Ø TANSIDCO will allot the work shed or developed plot to the entrepreneurs under outright purchase. NSIC will consider the term loan on the basis of the valuation of the Work Shed / Developed Plot furnished in TANSIDCO's allotment order.

Ø In addition to Work Shed/ Developed Plot, NSIC will simultaneously grant Composite Term Loan for machineries as well as working capital.

Ø Eligibility:

Any Tiny Unit having SSI Tiny registration Certificate can avail this loan assistance for setting up a new unit or expansion of the existing unit in any of the Industrial Estates of TANSIDCO. A Tiny Unit is a one whose total investment in Plant & Machinery does not exceed Rs.25.00 lakhs.
